OBJECTIVES
By the end of this course of study, students will have practiced
1. Read and apply multiple step directions (R3D)
2. Demonstrate comprehension skills, use pre-reading strategies (R2C, R1D, R1F)
3. Apply post-reading skills to question, reflect, draw conclusions, summarize (R1H)
4. Use details to analyze character, plot, tone (R2C)
5. Compose a variety of texts (W3A)
• (Re)Familiarize yourself with the Techniques Useful in Reading Interpretation


September 28th
Objective: Take 2nd literary techniques quiz
Practice writing to AP Prompt and post to blog

October 1st
Objective: Examine AP essays of superior response; analyze your own essays from Monday
Continue reading Things Fall Apart, focusing on questioning while reading. We will use the three level questions.

October 3rd

Use your questions from Wednesday and last week to begin a search for understanding via the web. Consider looking at google images, youtube, and yahoo. How do you answer the questions you have? Where do you go to find the information to answer those questions?
Using Things Fall Apart, write a reflection of your new learning. You can examine the characters in the book, questions you had and answered, a compare/contrast of characters, the use of diction, the use of syntax, your own reading process and/or difficulties.

Discuss abandoning the book.
